India is Part of Group1 as X1, and likely to have their Super Eight Matches against AUS (X2), WI (X3) and SA (X4)

Pakistan if they qualify would be part of Group 2 as Y3 with Super Eight matches against Eng (Y1) NZ (Y2) and SL (Y4)

The super eight is likely to feature the above eight teams.

If any one of the above 8 teams is not able to make it to top two in their group they would be replaced by the team which makes it to top 2 in their group.

The chances of an upset were strongest in group D where AFG could possibly give a tough fight to one of the other two contenders SA and NZ . However, the other two are sitting pretty AFG would need to defeat SA convincingly.

Nepal had come close to create an upset in their first game against England.. in group C it is to be seen if they could cause an upset against West Indies..

Zimbabwe may at present look more sure than others to dislodge one of the teams from Super Eight .. the have to beat one of Sri Lanka or Australia..

Both USA and Netherlands had their chances to create upset in their first matches of the WC but both fell short a close distance from winning .. India were struggling at 77 for 6 against USA and it took the heroic 29 off 11 balls from Faheem Ashraf tp beat Netherlands by three wickets

Top two teams from two super-eight groups would engage in semi-finals to be played on March 4 and March 5

Final would be held on March 08 2026
